Museum of Islamic art aka MIA had been created to become a landmark in Doha,
Qatar. This building is particularly known by its strangeness. The Museum
of Islamic Art is the result of a journey of discovery conducted by I.M. Pei, whose
quest to understand the diversity of Islamic architecture led him on a world tour.
He had been visited numerous places over in India and Middle East region.
As a result Pei use several edifice that he had met over his journey as references
to complete his last masterpiece “Museum of Islamic Art”. By he had set up his own
interpretation about Islamic architecture-- a Cubist expression of geometric progression,
” which evoked an abstract vision of the key design elements”.
